海外ゲームメディア大手「IGN」によるGame of the Year「Best of 2013」の総合大賞が発表されており、2013年のGOTYは『The Last of Us』が受賞したことが明らかになりました。
IGNでは総合GOTYの他に部門別の受賞タイトルも発表。任天堂からは『スーパーマリオ 3Dワールド』と『ゼルダの伝説 神々のトライフォース2』が、国産タイトルではこの他『二ノ国 白き聖灰の女王』と『Final Fantasy XIV 新生エオルゼア』も部門賞を受賞しています。
