BAFTA（British Academy of Film and Television Arts, 英国映画テレビ芸術アカデミー）が7日、ゲーム部門「British Academy Game Awards 2016」の各賞を発表。ベセスダ・ソフトワークスのオープンワールドRPG『Fallout 4』が2015年発売ソフトの最優秀ゲームに選出されました。
国産タイトルでは『Bloodborne（ブラッドボーン）』『MGS V: TPP』『ウイイレ2016』、任天堂の『スーパーマリオメーカー』『Splatoon』などがノミネート。その中で『Bloodborne（ブラッドボーン）』がゲームデザイン賞を受賞しています。
今年のアワードはインディーデベロッパーによるタイトルが目立っています。ベストゲームは逃したものの、『Rocket League』『Her Story』『Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture -幸福な消失-』がそれぞれ最多の3部門を受賞し存在感が際立ちました。
